Day 20 to La Crosse, WI over the Mississippi River

Northwesterly winds kept the day cool and fast.  The mileage was a bit longer than published but with the strong tail winds riders completed the day without a problem.   Road construction on highways and bike trails proved to be a challenge.  Rough roads gave riders a bit of chatter.  Lunch was perfect in Whalen on Rt 16 in Bluff County Minnesota.  We followed the Root river most of the day.  1 mile from the Hotel we crossed the Mississippi River and entered the Grand State of Wisconsin.
