Day14 to Custer South Dakota.... nearly half way!

Heading downhill out of the mountains   today leaving Gillette, WY everybody flew averaging over 18 mph to the first stop...   a few hills during the morning until lunch....  a view of Devil
s Postpile to the NW early in the day and a bit of history at the second rest stop...     lunch at a shaded park in Newcastle and then onto South Dakota and into the Black Hills.   The forest fires of 2009 was evident as the hills were grass covered instead of the Black Hills Spruce.  the afternoon thundershowers produced hail at the hotel and broke up bike wash....  riders enjoyed the day despite the prevailing easterly winds.
